[review]
Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails are back with their 8th studio album and they do it the best way you could expect after 5 years. Hesitation Marks is a mature album, suited up with the band’s trademark electronic sounds mixed with remarkable guitars and Reznor’s warm voice. Although there’s a prevalence of electronics, the track-list takes us to enjoyable digressions of styles with the light-rock of Everything and the Bowie-sounding All time low. The greatest strength of the album is – in pure NIN style – the progression, variation and evolution of each song. Pearls like Satellite, While I’m Still Here, Find a Way, Black Noise or Various Ways of Escape are journeys of experimental sounds, sweet guitars, industrial rhythms and multiplied voices that pave the way to the evolution of every song. Never boring, never repetitive, an unmissable musical experience.
