The ENEMY and THE TWANG join forces for a UK Tour

Fresh from their performances at London’s “British Summer Time” in Hyde Park, The Enemy and The Twang join forces to announce details of a 12 date UK Christmas tour. Kicking off in Bristol on Thursday 4th December, the Midlands boys will finish the tour with what will be THE party of 2014 at Birmingham’s O2 Academy on Saturday 20th December.
After three top 10 albums, of which The Enemy’s debut “We’ll Live and Die in These Towns” shot straight to #1 in the UK album charts (2007) and numerous chart single successes, The Enemy have ripened into something special. Three young musicians who are in it for their love of music, their latest mini-EP ‘Magic’ is their first new material in over two years as they head towards releasing album number four later this year.

“This is the perfect way to round off a great year of touring and a good opportunity for us to prepare for the next chapter of music next year” says The Enemy’s Tom Clarke.

The Twang continue their triumphant return to form with their brand new fourth album “NEONTWANG” which was released earlier this year. The core trio of Phil Etheridge, Saunders and bass player Jon Watkin remain, with the creative additions of drummer Ash Sheehan and new writing partner and guitarist, Jon ‘Simmo’ Simcox.

“We’re really looking forward to getting back out on the road” says Phil Ettheridge. “Playing shows is what we’re all about……. It’s gonna be chaos… organised chaos!”

Their debut record, ‘Love It When I Feel This’ (2007) clocking in excess of 200,000 sales and hit #3 in the album charts, featured hits “Either Way” and “Wide Awake”. Their second album, ‘Jewellery Quarter’ (2009) delivered fan favourite, “Barney Rubble”, and their third “10:20” (2012) was hailed ‘career redemption’ by the media.

Rebel Rebel Staff
Rebel Rebel Music Magazine was founded by Gessica Puglielli, counting in the names of several music enthusiasts, journalists and photographers. The magazine was founded in October 2013 and, despite being quite young, Gessica and her collaborators have already interviewed and/or reviewed several interesting artists mainly from the indie scene of rock, pop, jazz and soul. In the first 5 months from its online launch, Rebel Rebel Magazine scored over 30,000 visits and 20,000 unique visitors, with 15,000 Twitter followers and 5,000 Facebook likes. The main categories include interviews, live reviews, music reviews, live photography and album/show previews. Rebel Rebel is the result of years of passion for music and the experience Gessica gained during her years as collaborator of Michael Jackson’s staff MJJ Productions. Why the name? We think somehow music is an act of rebellion and a declaration of freedom, that’s why we define ourselves as "unconventional": we don't care whether an artist is popular or not, as long as it's good music. We’re not into celebrities, we’re into artists... and what better than the title of a song by one of the greatest artists ever?
