Venue: Koko, London
At 75, Giorgio Moroder managed to fill up all four floors of Koko, one of London’s hottest venues. Having worked with some of the biggest names in music history and often credited for pioneering synth disco and electronic music, Moroder was back in town as never before.
The public, a mix of old and young, much like the Italian producer’s music, could do nothing but surrender to the power that is Moroder’s ability to make people dance like there’s no tomorrow, until the intro of Donna Summer‘s Hot Stuff filled the room and the the audience went in a crazy jumping 70’s fever.
There was also time for a surprise appearance on stage by British singer Foxes, who recorded a duet on Moroder’s latest album and performed Wildstar.
The Italian producer, clearly still enjoying what he does, was called back for numerous encores, extending the show by over 20 minutes, proving that there’s no such as thing as too old.
