Skin of Skunk Anansie supports + performs live for 1 Billion Rising UK in London

Today Skunk Anansie leader Skin joined a line up of amazing women on stage at the 1 Billion Rising UK to raise awareness in defence of women’s right and against violence.

The event took place in Trafalgar Square at 12.30, the singer walked on stage at 13.30 after many touching and motivating speeches by women journalists and politicians, who are fighting for real equality and to stop and prevent violence on women.  Before performing an acoustic version of 3 Skunk Anansie songs (100 Ways To Be A Good Girl, Hedonism and Weak) with an amazing ensemble of singers and musicians, the London singer expressed her sentiment and full support to the cause of abused women.

No better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day expressing Love for the millions of women who suffer every day.
